PACAP is the abbreviation for pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide. It is a neuropeptide that is present in trigeminal neurons and is thought to affect pain sensation. It is thought to play a role in Migraine. Research is underway to investigate if blocking this peptide can abort or prevent Migraine attacks.
